Middletown High School Music Ensembles

The Middletown High School Musical Arts Programs provide a long-standing tradition of excellence. The program includes the following performing ensembles

Outside of school, a large number of students participate in Solo and Ensemble Contests, Honor Bands, and select regional bands, orchestras, and choirs. The music programs are highly involved in the Middletown City Schools community as well as the Middletown community at large by their involvement in stage performances, assembly performances, performances at sporting events, parades, and community events.

Contests

The following groups participate in large group or solo and ensemble contests throughout the region: Marching Band / Color Guard, Show Choir, Acapella Chior, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Winter Guard.

MHS Marching Band has qualified and competed in OMEA State Finals each of last 19 competition years and has earned the highest rating of 1 – Superior of the last several performance years.

Wind Ensemble has also received the top rating of Superior seven out of last eight performance years in OMEA contest.
